Check your BIB!

I ran Chicago marathon last Sunday. Actually, the organization is pretty amazing and the whole city is geared towards the runner. However: I received the wrong BIB number! Cannot believe it. I didn’t check the bib when I got it, have to admit. Never crossed my mind that I would run incognito. I am listed under C4437 but actually, I received C4473. Already sent an email to the organizers. They wrote back that it can take a month or longer to rectify it. Let’s see... ah, well, my time: finished in 3:28:13 pretty much as planned. I knew that striving for a faster time would mean higher risk of slowing down too much at the end, actually, I could „speed up“ a little bit and ran a negative split. Can recommend Chicago marathon, but make sure you check your BIB :-)
