For the next couple of days you can expect only running thoughts on my Blog. Well, there are a lot more thoughts going through my head besides running, especially during taper time. but most of them are not suited to be shared with such a large community as this big crowd reading my Blog ;-)
Anyway, Wednesday was 5x1k in MT pace day. Needless to say that I did not run a single kilometer as wanted. 4:12, 4:20, 4:01, 3:57 and 3:58min of which Steve paced 3rd and 5th km. Well, Ohtawara course has only 5km marks, so first 5k will be very interesting. Based on Wednesday, any time between 19:50 and 21:40min is possible...
Yesterday I ran 10k from work back home. Nothing special to report.
Today the plan called for 5k in MT pace. But I kind of felt strange about this workout. I checked my weekly mileage based on Friday=M-day. Bingo, already got 63km this "week"=last 7 days. So I decided to skip the run and have some rest instead.
A 65% taper in the last week should be perfect, 70% will be too much.
Weekend is ahead and I am looking forward to Tokyo Int. Woman Marathon. Will be watching the race at Shinagawa. 5 woman from our club are racing. Will be exiting, I am sure.

I will return.
