constant change...

My Blog was slow over the last weeks. Most of you know why, I guess. Yesterday, we packed our stuff and moved to a temporary apartment in Tokyo. Next week we'll apply for the Chinese visa and then we will leave for Guangzhou. So, it's about time to summarize the past five years here in Japan. I ran a total of 8 Marathons here. Luckily I could participate in all three Tokyo M and I will never forget the first one. Well, I guess no runner will forget that rain! I am quite happy with my results in Ohtawara, could not brake 2:50 but ran both Marathons strong with Steve and Paddy. Thanks to you guys for all the good workouts and the races. Also, I did my first Ultra(s) in Japan. In 2008 I ran the 100k Ultra in Kubikino and this year a 112k Ultra around the Five Fuji lakes. The Ultra is a different animal and I will definitely run it again, probably next year in Europe. I enjoyed the last two years with NAMBAN, the track sessions, the races, the company of the fellow runners. Certainly, running in China will be different due to the different weather conditions. Stay tuned because soon I'll report from the "country in the middle".
