torn between two... options...

"There are times when a man has to decide what's on his race schedule
Even though he knows how much it's gonna hurt
Before I say another word let me tell you I love running so much
Let me hold you close and say these words as gently as I can
There's been another race that I've looked at and I would love to run
But that doesn't mean I love Frankfurt less
And Frankfurt knows it can't possess me and it knows it never may
There's just this empty place inside of me that only Lindau can fill..."

Well, putting it a little less lyrical: I decided to run Lindau Marathon on Oct 2 instead of Frankfurt which is almost 4 weeks later. The training camp last week went well. I could stay with the Greyhounds for almost the whole week but there is not enough fuel in the tank yet to go through an extensive Marathon training for another 6 or 7 weeks. So, I will shoot for Lindau and a sub 3 there. If weather permits, I have a good chance to get close to 2:58.
Today, I ran 18km in 1:28. It was 25 C, not too hot. But, I lost 2,5 l during these 90min. This just tells me that I can not race a full Marathon if it is this warm. Have to be a little lucky...

Yes! Go for Linda! Sorry, Lindau. And good luck with the weather! (You can always bail out of the race if it's too hot and ruefully go back to Francesca. Sorry, Frankfurt.)

Sub-3 would be a great return to the marathon.
