Dark, cold, long and a beautiful forest

This morning I started my long run at 6:30am in Stadtbergen. Had to run on my own since the rest of the weekend will be very busy and as such I was not flexible regarding my start time. Was dark for 1hr so I followed the street lights first. After 11k I entered the Wellenburg forest which is part of the huge area called „Westliche Wälder". The trees were still covered in mist and I could hear birds. Otherwise it was very quiet. It felt great running in the forest and I enjoyed each and every km. Did a total of 32k. The VO2max still is at 54 indicating that a 3:04 marathon is possible. Well, I doubt this at present.
