This week... so far...

just checked my weekly mileage. 91k in the pocket. Plan on doing my first hill "run" tomorrow: 10k flat and then Penang hill up and down, adding another 10k for a total of 20k. Would add up to a total of 110k for this week. Nice :-)
To add a little bit of clarity to my posts: So far I registered for three runs/races.
The Kiara conquer the trail run on Feb 11 is the first one. Will give me some exposure to pure trail activities. They have the bring your own bottle policy. Hope I don't forget mine ;-)

The second run is the famous Midnight Man Run on Pearl Hill, Penang organised by Robert Kirby. It starts at midnight on March 24th and is a hilly 4hr course up and down Pearl hill. Let's see how many "laps" I will do. This will test my night running skills on tar road. Eventually I need to practise running on a trail in the dark but first things first.

The third run is the KL Marathon. I don't really think that running a city Marathon with 30.000+ runners will give me any new insight I can put to use for the Eco100k in May but on the other hand I should get myself immersed to the atmosphere of a big race.

I have not yet decided on another race to prepare for the Penang Eco 100k on May 12.
Might need to do a night run in the forest to test the LED light and my general orientation skills together with the feeling of loneliness of a solo runner being lost in the jungle. Sounds tempting, right? Will see what comes along the way.
Onwards...
