It has been almost a week since I ran my first Ultra. The very next morning I felt a little tired and didn't run at all. But my legs were in pretty good shape. So, I decided to run on Monday my 16km round quite fast, averaging 4:10 min/km. This was amazing. Added another three medium runs this week. Fact is that, yes, I feel tired but not as tired as I feel after a Marathon race. But I guess, I still have to take it easy for some more days before I can get back to my training for Ohtawara. Let's see how I feel on Sunday. If things turn out to be OK, I'll run 30k or so @ 4:40 pace. If not, I'll let it go.
Yesterday, we let some other people run and watched the movie about the 135 Miles Badwater Ultra. This race is considered to be the toughest of it's kind (whatever that means). What an inspiration! Can highly recommend this documentation which was filmed in 1999.

"Gepostet von Joachim unter 04:01"
Hi Joachim, this little sentence right under your message, is this your posting pace? Sub 04:01? Great!
And even your recovery pace is amazing! Fantastic... keep running!
Greetings from Berlin,
Bernd.
"unter 4:01" = pretty fast, isn't it? ;-)
