It's already Sunday and as such the next post is due. Has been a busy week at work but still I could squeeze in some training covering a total of 62km with 4 runs. Did a long run on Saturday (30k). Felt reasonably fresh towards the end. Consumed 1,5l of water, had an (old) maple sirup (sic!) energy gel and tested successfully the UphaLyte rehydration salt sachet. This morning, Christiane and I ran the OBS (Occupy Beach Street) event. Wouldn't call it a "Run" because there have been so many strollers and walkers in front of us that we had to make our way through the crowd and actually ran only 5,5km out of the 6,5km total. Anyway, was a good experience once I got rolling since I could do 5k in 20:43 sec. Still overheating towards the end, so I plan to bring some ice cubes to the Island relay next Sunday and put them on my head during the run. Will test this idea on Wednesday.

Plan on doing another 25k tomorrow and on Wednesday. Lets see how things go. My GARMIN Fenix 5X and I do not agree on the training load and my fitness level all the time. I will watch this more closely and will get back to you with some observations and findings about this in one of the next blogs. Stay tuned, its worth!
