Countdown for Frankfurt Marathon...
It's time to choose a training plan. So far I have been accumulating miles and it looks like the long run @ 5min/km pace is doable again. That's good news. As for the training plan, I have picked a mixture of two plans I executed in 2007 and 2008 prior to Ohtawara Marathon. Besides the obvious ingredients like a long run on the weekend and medium long runs during the week I will try to do two "hard" workouts: one Marathon pace like interval and one track training. This should be possible since the temperatures here will be lower than in Japan for that part of the year. So far, that's not perfectly the case but I just hope for cold temperatures to kick in next week. If everything goes according to plan I hope to run a sub3h Marathon on Oct. 30.

So we will meet there in the starting line. Below 3h will be my aim too, but I am going to have another Half-Marathon trial in second half of September, maybe i will change to a more abitious goal. But that also depends on what my knee thinks about 120- 130 kilomter-weeks.

cool, Gerald. Habe Dich schon in der Starterliste gesucht und nicht gefunden. Freue mich auf ein Wiedersehen in Frankfurt!
