New Zealand summary

Now, we are on our way back to Japan. NZ99 will leave soon from Auckland and later in the evening we will be landing in Tokyo. How was the vacation? Pretty good, not only from a pure holiday perspective. Of course, we traveled the country (only South Island) and saw a lot of things. Kiwi was a great vacation and even better: I could do some training as well. Cover 106km in the first week and 124km in the second week of the vacation. Mostly, I ran in the evening together with Christiane after arriving at the hotel. We could run through real rain forest (on two different occations on a gravel road), along great beaches, on the street (not so many cars there in Kiwi) and in the fantastic Botanic Garden in Christchurch. Most of my running was a medium, slow pace. But I did 3 long runs of 30km, 36km and 25km each. Currently, I am finishing the book of Haruki Murakami, What I talk about when I talk about running. He ran the Lake Saroma in Hokkaiko. I have to check this one out, it's on the last Sunday in June ;-)
